Laser treatment of retinal diseases

Laser retina treatment is innovative tissue saving method of treatment of one of the most delicate structures of the eye.

Laser retina treatment provides clotting effect on the retina with the help of accurately calculated light impulses. As the result the retina and underlying membrane are joined, which strengthens the retina.

In cases of peripheral retinal degeneration laser coagulates are made in the thinned zones of the retina. This procedure fixes the retina and lowers considerably the risk of its detachment.

Laser treatment, when performed in time, can stop progressing of the diabetic retinopathy and retain high sight.

The procedure of laser retina coagulation is performed in the out-patient conditions and does not require special preparation. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes, but sometimes it is performed in several stages. After the procedure the patient can return to his usual mode of life right on the next day.
