Intraocular lenses

In order to achieve sharp sight after the lens removal, the oposifed natural eye lens should be exchanged with the artificial intraocular lens (IOL).

Artificial intraocular lenses have been used since 1948 and have proved to be safe. The artificial intraocular lens remains in the eye forever.

The focal power of the IOL is calculated with the help of special optical devices.

If before the operation the patient suffers from myopia or hyperopia, in this case the IOL power is calculated with consideration of these abnormalities of the natural eye focal power.

After successful operation on implantation of the required IOL the patient gets rid from his glasses.
